Private Equity / Private Credit Valuation Senior Associate
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Equity / Private Credit Valuation Senior Associate to join our team. As a key member of our valuation team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining valuation models across private equity, private credit, structured credit, and other illiquid investments.
Responsibilities:
- Valuation and Modeling: Build and maintain valuation models across private equity, private credit, structured credit, and other illiquid investments, using methodologies including DCF, market comparables, recovery analysis, and option-pricing models.
- Deal Lifecycle Coverage: Support valuation approach from deal inception through funding and across the life of the investment.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with Portfolio Managers, Accounting, Operations, and Valuation Control to help build scalable workflows, tools, and processes to support a rapidly growing business.
- Portfolio and Business Interface: Act as a key contact for valuation-related queries and monitor performance and financial data.
- External Review Support: Liaise with external valuation agents and auditors, providing support on methodologies, assumptions, and model outputs.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare valuation reports highlighting key drivers, material changes, and P&L movements.
- Process Improvement / Project Work: Support ad hoc projects and enhancements to valuation processes, controls, and reporting.
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in private equity, private credit, structured products, or illiquid asset valuation.
- Strong valuation and modeling background, with experience across a range of private and less liquid investments.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and exercise judgment, while working as an individual contributor within a broader team structure.
- Proven ability to coordinate across multiple functions and manage stakeholders effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Bloomberg, CapIQ, and iLevel.
- CFA or progress toward CFA preferred.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
