Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Gaming Marketing Manager to join our team in Japan. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for defining and executing Japan-specific marketing strategies aligned with global brand and gaming peripherals objectives. This includes establishing and managing close working relationships with influencers, creators, esports figures, media, and community partners to drive sustained product visibility and brand credibility.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and executing Japan-specific marketing strategies aligned with global brand and gaming peripherals objectives
- Establishing and managing close working relationships with influencers, creators, esports figures, media, and community partners
- Collaborating with sales teams to create sales enablement tools and promotional materials for channel partners
- Planning and executing Japan-specific go-to-market and product launch activities, coordinating with global teams, agencies, and partners to ensure timely and accurate execution
- Managing influencer programs, media reviews, and awards tracking, ensuring timely execution and clear reporting of coverage
- Leading events, trade shows, and local partnerships, representing the brand within the Japanese gaming community
- Coordinating and executing POSM development, retail display support, merchandising materials, and offline events, working directly with vendors and partners to deliver on-site results
- Tracking campaign performance, community feedback, and market insights, and continuously optimizing execution to improve effectiveness
- Managing local marketing budgets and allocating resources effectively to maximize ROI on marketing initiatives
Requirements include:
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a strong focus on market execution
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
- Strong understanding of marketing strategies, channels, and branding, with established knowledge of and connections within the Japanese gaming ecosystem
- Proven experience leading product launches, go-to-market execution, and integrated marketing campaigns
- Experience managing marketing budgets and measuring campaign performance/ROI
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Fluency in English and Japanese (both spoken and written)
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple simultaneous tasks with tight deadlines
- Strong understanding of the Gaming market and gamer/enthusiast communities
- Proven track record of delivering measurable marketing results
