Description
The role of a Solution Engineer is defined in the sales process and involves defining proper solutions for customers, creating lean quotations, and ensuring accurate cost calculation. Collaborating with Key Account Manager, Global Account Manager, and Sales Engineers to drive sales opportunities and achieve targets is a key responsibility. Providing feedback on market trends and competitor activities to support business strategy is also essential.
As the main technical interface for customers, you will support RFQ definition and analyze requirements. Proposing, presenting, and adapting tailored solutions, clearly communicating value, USPs, and technical concepts is crucial. Developing and delivering technical presentations at customer locations and creating accurate and competitive solution proposals combining equipment, software, and services are also key responsibilities.
You will take ownership of proposals, including defining, organizing, and coordinating cross-functional proposal teams. Developing and managing proposal timelines in alignment with sales and operations is essential. Preparing technical proposals in line with sales processes, including risk analysis and acceptance criteria definition, is also a key responsibility.
Developing solution concepts, including technical documentation and Tabletop Drawings (TTD), is crucial. Maintaining and tracking proposal data in Salesforce (status, versions, timelines) and ensuring proper handover of all required information to operations are also key responsibilities.
Involving project management early when needed and applying requirement engineering best practices is essential.
