Description
We are currently accepting applications for the position of NASCAR Archives and Research Center Part-Time Assistant. The successful candidate will require 25-30 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate media, industry, and private individual research requests
- Scan and archive historic auto racing photos
- Assist with DIS VIP Tour visits at Archives when needed
- Support NASCAR and DIS communications/marketing efforts with photo/records research
- Assist in developing various memorabilia displays at the center
- Develop creative ideas regarding displays, photo usages, etc.
- Interact with the motorsports industry and general public as a representative of Daytona International Speedway and the NASCAR Archives & Research Center
- Enter new items into master list
Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Currently holding or pursuing a degree in Communications/Public Relations, Journalism, Photography or related field
- Must be organised and have solid communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of basic computer skills (both Mac and PC) – with special emphasis on Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Excel and photography scanning
- Knowledge of social media sites and related applications (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram and YouTube)
- Ability to occasionally work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Reliable transportation to and from the location
