Job Description

We are seeking a Head of Contracts to join our team at Eurostar. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage contracts for the most significant activities, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies
  • Participate in strategic planning for heavy maintenance and projects requiring long-term fleet immobilization
  • Collaborate with the fleet management team to formalize the annual maintenance order
  • Ensure that the constraints of cleaning activities are taken into account when scheduling, while striving to meet the commercial and economic needs of Eurostar
  • Participate in strategic decisions related to the department's budget
  • Lead and manage teams assigned to you
  • Ensure that the resources and competencies of your entity are well-aligned to meet the assigned tasks
  • Be responsible for the training plan of your team in line with the required competencies of the job descriptions
  • Ensure the availability of material support for the Continental Rolling Stock

Performance

  • Be responsible for the financial performance of the department, ensuring that the budget (Capex and Opex) is well-managed
  • Identify any deviations from the forecasts and propose opportunities for cost savings or optimization
  • Be responsible for the performance of Rolling Stock with regard to cleaning activities, including customer satisfaction (NPS)
  • Implement Lean tools to ensure the right measurements, identify the underlying causes of deviations, and take corrective actions to achieve the entity's objectives
  • Participate in governance related to financial performance
  • Participate in the necessary governance bodies for the good management of contracts
  • Ensure that all requirements of each contract are met

Requirements

  • Experience in contract management and negotiation
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead and manage teams

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the rail industry
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and tools
  • Certification in contract management or a related field
