Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Madrid, Spain. As a Procurement Specialist, you will report to the Procurement Manager and play a crucial role in driving cost optimization, enabling effective management of key suppliers and risks, and supporting efficient sourcing processes for goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support cost optimization and procurement excellence by analyzing business spend, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, and ensuring transparency in third-party expenses.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies, manage supplier performance and agreements, and monitor market trends to anticipate pricing and availability.
  • Identify new suppliers and communicate the value that Procurement brings to the organization.
  • Develop category strategies to improve efficiency, align procurement actions with business goals, support major tenders, define negotiation tactics, and lead supplier negotiations through contract approval.
  • Support setting annual procurement targets with the Procurement Manager and aligning them with stakeholders.
  • Establish regular management reporting on ongoing initiatives and results and develop and execute KPI reporting for key suppliers and spend.
  • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to align on procurement needs and optimize budget spend.
  • Work closely with budget owners to develop end-to-end sourcing strategies and ensure key supplier relationships and performance are properly managed.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or proven experience in a similar field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Procurement role, ideally in the FMCG industry.
  • High level of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • SAP experience desirable.
  • Solid understanding of category management and state-of-the-art 'source to contract' procurement processes.
  • Experience in project and process management and working in a high-volume FMCG industry desirable.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
  • Analytical skills and creative problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple activities and focus efforts.
  • Good stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Good knowledge of drafting contracts.
  • Proactive, empathetic, positive attitude.
