Senior Mechanical Engineer, Warfighter Systems

The Senior Mechanical Engineer in this role will be part of a team developing a new Army vision system that combines cutting-edge multi-spectral sensors, compute, thermal management, and ballistic protection.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems for wearable devices
• Pursue prototyping and evaluation efforts with a high degree of autonomy
• Meet stringent SWAP-C requirements while balancing human factors and comfort with packaging needs

Qualifications & Critical Competencies:

• BS, M.Eng, MS or PhD in an engineering field
• 7+ years Mechanical Engineering Experience
• CAD skills and ability to manage complex parts and assemblies
• High competencies with:
• Detailed mechanical design for traditional and additive manufacturing
• Ergonomics and Human Factors
• Structural/Thermal Analysis
• Manufacturing Processes
• Thermal and Environmental Considerations
• Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Consumer electronics packaging and design
• Experience with a military qualification programs
• Experience with NX/Teamcenter
• Experience with rapid prototyping and iterating with 3D printed assets
