The QVS Mobile team at Electronic Arts builds and maintains the core automation frameworks, pipelines, and tools that empower mobile game development across EA studios. Our mission is to enable efficient, scalable, and reliable development by building robust automation systems and technical solutions that streamline validation, build processing, and delivery. We're looking for a Software Engineer II with solid C# development skills and a strong interest in game development and automation frameworks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys writing clean, maintainable code and wants to apply engineering skills to improve how mobile games are tested, validated, and shipped. You'll collaborate with engineers across gameplay, build, and QA teams to deliver automation solutions that enhance speed and quality in production environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks, tools, and systems supporting EA's mobile projects.
- Partner with development, build, and QA teams to expand automation capabilities and streamline mobile game workflows.
- Support automation pipelines, investigate issues, and ensure stability across projects.
- Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and process improvements within the automation team.
- Learn and actively participate in the evolution of EA's mobile automation ecosystem.
Requirements:
- 4 to 8 years of professional development experience, with at least one year in C++
- Strong Object-Oriented Programming fundamentals
- A solid foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, Algorithms, Design patterns, Data Structures, Automation Testing, SDLC and STLC knowledge, C# Scripting, Javascript, Python Scripting
- Ability to identify automation opportunities, gaps in coverage and proactively introduce innovative automation strategies into the overall development processes.
- Monitor product quality Indicators throughout project duration to give a constant heartbeat on product quality
- Able to demonstrate strong ownership, solid drive to complete communicated objectives.
- Ability to build and maintain an effective working relationship with stakeholders, monitor requirements and proactively provide suggestions on processes that present room for improvement
- Excellent written, verbal communication skills and ability to work with a large, cross-functional, and distributed team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science or related concentration, equivalent and/or combination of education.
