Description
Multimatic Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team in Markham, Ontario.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all facility equipment and systems. The role requires hands-on technical skills in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to preventive maintenance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all production & facility equipment.
- Service, troubleshoot & calibrate a wide variety of machinery.
- Repair and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and tools.
- Use a variety of industrial equipment, tools, and machinery to perform repairs and maintenance of equipment.
- Maintain spare parts and components inventory at appropriate levels.
- Solve maintenance-related problems with minimum interruption to production.
- Work in compliance with ISO9001, TS16949, and ISO14001 standards.
- Complete necessary paperwork, including work orders and time sheet entries.
- Provide trouble-shooting assistance to other maintenance personnel as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Observe and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Attend required training/certification courses.
- Participate in Kaizen and G.E.A.R. programs.
Pay Range: $27.00 to $30.00 per hour
Basic Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of experience working as a maintenance mechanic, technician, or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
- Understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience with Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and associated mechanical systems.
- Ability to lift heavy objects – up to 50lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with QS-9000 procedures.
