Okta is looking for an Area Sales Director Strategic UK/I to lead its Strategic Account Team in the UK and Ireland. As a key member of the UKI Leadership team, you will drive growth and revenue in the region, focusing on large customers with over 20,000 employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategy and business plan for the Strategic segment, aligning with revenue and headcount goals.
- Provide leadership and coaching to a team of experienced Account Executives, fostering a shared vision and strong team culture.
- Drive big wins over $1m+, while identifying land and expand opportunities to grow the segment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Alliances, Sales Development, Pre-Sales, and Marketing, to ensure the team has the necessary support.
- Solidify and grow relationships with key partners through collaboration with Alliances and GSI teams.
- Act as an Executive Sponsor on critical deal opportunities and support Account Executives in using MEDDPICCC to navigate complex deals.
- Lead by example in running forecasting accuracy and ensuring deal accountability.
- Provide ongoing performance reviews and support the career development of Account Executives.
Requirements
- Previous experience leading a majors or strategic segment with Account Executives selling into large accounts.
- Strong understanding of executing multi-million dollar deals in large organisations.
- Experience building partner business plans and relationships to ensure strategic alignment and growth.
- Coaching experience with MEDDICC or similar sales frameworks.
- Proven track record of managing a growth-focused team with demonstrable success in bringing on new logos.
- Ability to build a culture of trust and collaboration with a strong coaching mindset.
- Experience leading through significant growth and/or change within a 'build' phase technology company.
- Exceptional leadership skills and ability to develop sales talent throughout their careers.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately and boldly forecast sales results.
