VCARB F1 Team - Composite Materials Finishing Technician

We are seeking a skilled Composite Materials Finishing Technician to join our team in Faenza, Italy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for finishing and trimming carbon fibre components for our Formula 1 car, ensuring high-quality standards and adhering to technical drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out tasks according to assigned work schedules
• Meet departmental productivity standards
• Correctly use process materials and tools
• Utilise equipment, specifications, and drawings for component production
• Produce components matching design and production specifications

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• In-depth knowledge of cutting and drilling tools for carbon fibre (e.g., drills, milling machines)
• Understanding of composite material manufacturing processes, particularly trimming and bonding
• Familiarity with abrasive pastes and silicones
• Ability to install commercial inserts (e.g., Keen-Sert, Olivetti, rivets) into carbon fibre components
• 2D drawing reading skills
• Knowledge of measurement tools (e.g., calipers, comparators)
• Basic English language proficiency
