Description
A Commercial Counsel at Palantir will be responsible for all aspects of commercial contracting, including deal structuring, drafting, review, and negotiation of revenue generating contracts. As an Intellectual Property subject matter expert, you will own strategic licensing transactions, Intellectual Property components of corporate transactions, and other complex Intellectual Property transactions. You will also assist in open source software management, managing safe product development with in-licensed components, safeguarding and growing Palantir's Intellectual Property portfolio, and advising on product marketing matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead drafting and negotiation of commercial customer contracts.
- Intellectual Property subject matter expert in the commercial contracting team, owning drafting, negotiating, and advising on strategic licensing transactions, Intellectual Property components of corporate transactions, and other complex Intellectual Property transactions.
- Assist in open source software management, managing safe product development with in-licensed components, safeguarding and growing Palantir's Intellectual Property portfolio, and advising on product marketing matters.
- Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes.
- Assist in defining and building infrastructure to effectively deliver legal support in a scalable manner to Palantir's rapidly expanding customer portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have commercial contracting or technology transactions experience, particularly high-value complex strategic licensing transactions, and intellectual property subject matter expertise. Prior experience working in-house is preferred, ideally at a high-growth SaaS company.
Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $135,000 - $200,000/year.
