Description
Aramco is seeking an Engineering Specialist to join its Inspection Technology Unit within the Inspection Technical Support Division. As a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Engineer, you will lead the evaluation and implementation of NDT technologies, especially In-Line Inspection (ILI) systems, to enhance pipeline integrity strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate emerging NDT and ILI technologies
- Provide technical guidance on application, and support their deployment across pipeline operations
- Oversee the technical performance of ILI tools in the field
- Collaborate with vendors to improve data quality and tool capabilities
- Assist in validating inspection results through field verification and integration with inspection programs
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 20 years of professional experience in asset inspection and non-destructive testing technologies
- NDT Level III certification in at least two inspection methods
- Ability to apply international codes and standards relevant to inspection operations
- Strong understanding of pipeline inspection principles, including pigging operations, pipeline cleaning, and inline inspection tool validation techniques
- Familiarity with high-resolution inspection technologies used in inline tools
- Capability to analyze inline inspection results and provide technical support for run/rerun decisions, dig verification campaigns, and fitness-for-service assessments
