Responsibilities
IT Operations & Platform Management
- Own and maintain core IT platforms across the company, including Google Workspace, Okta, and Iru.
- Manage day-to-day identity and access administration: provisioning, deactivation, permissions, and device management.
- Act as the go-to technical expert for the business, owning issues through to resolution.
- Support and maintain AV equipment across the office, including conference rooms and all-hands/company-wide meeting setups.
- Support a global, distributed workforce across Pave's offices, including San Francisco, New York City, Salt Lake City, the United Kingdom, and Poland.
- Monitor system health, uptime, and security posture across managed platforms.
Team Leadership
- Manage a single IT FTE based in the SF office, including day-to-day direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Set priorities and workload for the contractor, balancing reactive support needs with planned project work.
Security & Compliance
- Partner with the Security team on access controls, audits, and compliance requirements (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) as they relate to IT-managed systems.
- Maintain security best practices across endpoints, identity systems, and IT-owned infrastructure and AI infrastructure.
Vendor & Budget Management
- Own and maintain the relationship with CDW, Pave's primary hardware supplier and SaaS channel partner, as well as other direct IT vendor relationships.
- Manage the IT budget, including software licensing and hardware procurement.
Cross-Functional Support
- Design and maintain stable integrations between IT-owned systems and the business tools each department relies on, looking for opportunities to automate manual work.
- Understand the technology needs of departments across the business and use that insight to shape what IT prioritizes, builds, and automates.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on IT generalist experience, spanning systems administration, end-user support, and vendor coordination in a company with a distributed, multi-office workforce.
- Experience delivering high-touch, white-glove onboarding for new hires, from equipment setup to account provisioning.
- Hands-on experience administering core IT/business platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Okta, Iru, and Claude Code).
- Experience managing IT operations end-to-end: support, access management, device management, and vendor relationships.
- Demonstrated experience partnering cross-functionally with non-technical departments (e.g., Finance, Revenue Operations).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., for hardware setup, shipping, and office equipment needs).
- Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing or directly overseeing a team or contractor.
- Familiarity with enterprise security/compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and how IT intersects with them.
- Experience managing IT budgets and vendor contracts.
- Background in high-growth B2B SaaS environments.
