As an R&D Verification Intern working with the Ansys Discovery product range, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing software quality through hands-on testing and validation.
Responsibilities:
- Test and validate new software features as they are being developed, focusing on physics features and product workflows
- Assist in creating test specifications and documentation to support the quality assurance process
- Develop automated tools and tests to improve team productivity and streamline testing procedures
- Participate in acceptance testing and collaborate with global team members to ensure product quality
- Apply your engineering skills to conduct both manual and automated testing of physics features implemented in the product
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
- Enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to university after the completion of the internship (must be entering their third year or beyond in their program)
- Experience with CAD software or simulation software such as ANSYS, ABAQUS, or ANSYS Fluent
- Programming experience (Python preferred, but other languages welcomed)
- Exposure to FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge or experience using Ansys products
- Exposure to programming using C++, C#
- Sharp and tenacious problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate challenges, discuss roadblocks, and collaborate effectively
- Documentation skills to support testing processes and team workflows
