Description
We are looking for a high initiative individual to build and expand growth initiatives across the United States Marine Corps (USMC) that serves all CX2 EW Platforms and Payloads. This individual will have ownership and responsibility for shaping and capturing business across the entire USMC enterprise.
The Business Development (BD) team is responsible for identifying, shaping, capturing, and growing new opportunities and capabilities for the company. BD team members serve as the bridge between clients and the broader CX2 team; they convey partner perspectives to cross-functional teams across the organization.
As a Business Development Representative, you will:
- Generate and capture all USMC opportunities. This will involve significant travel, trade show coordination, sourcing local agent agreements, and possession of a deep understanding and responsibility for representing country-specific budget cycles.
- Develop capture strategies. Provide cohesive business plans and execution models that outline acquisition plans, create clear alignment to investment strategies, and drive towards program of record execution.
- Grow existing business. While the primary role will be shaping and capturing new business, a successful candidate will represent the entire CX2 team. You will partner with Mission Operations to grow business with current clients.
- Manage continuous engagements with current and future clients, generate growth strategies, monitor buying cycles for opportunities, and lead specific proposal and capture efforts.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent writing and communications skills to internal and external audiences. You should be able to take complex and technical ideas and explain them to a broad audience. Additionally, you will need to be able to gain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with the USMC, with an emphasis on current operational needs and relationships across key program offices and end users. A bias towards action and the ability to thrive in a startup environment are also essential.
