The Technical Artist serves as a bridge between artists and engineers, working closely with artists, project managers, software engineers, and the Technical Art team. This person will focus on content optimizations (assets, textures, materials, shaders, and lighting as well as VFX particles simulation) for multiple platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Asset optimization, content management, and integration
- Game development, assuming ownership of technical issues and resolving them
- Liaising between the art and game teams
- Communicating with different audiences, including artists, engineers, and management
- Providing solutions to testing and debugging technical issues
- Thinking creatively to resolve technical challenges and limitations in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of modern game engine production and development experience
- Hands-on experience in in-game performance-related optimizations
- Experience in professional programming, with C++ being a bonus
- A bachelor's degree in a related field
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits.
PAY RANGES
- British Columbia: $104,500 - $142,800 CAD
