Physical Therapist - Full Time

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist. As a Physical Therapist, you will plan, organize, and deliver physical therapy programs to help clients/patients/residents recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease
• Utilize tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards
• Document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation and establish therapeutic plans
• Educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises
• Demonstrate and incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment of clients/patients/residents
• Treat individuals of all ages with varying diagnoses and disorders
• Follow and adhere to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organization
• Exhibit flexibility with acceptance of variable work schedules/assignments
• Participate in activities to promote the department and Sanford Health
• Interact with individuals outside of the department, including providers, case managers, and third-party payers
• Supervise assistants, aides, and students as needed
• Provide ongoing education and training to peers in areas of expertise

Qualifications:

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist
• Valid driver's license may be required
• Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required or within the first 60 days of employment
