Senior Product Sourcing Engineer, Autonomous Airpower

The Senior Product Sourcing Engineer drives strategic supply network development and cost management for Anduril's Autonomous Airpower (Fury) product portfolio. This involves collaborating with suppliers and cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct supplier selection for specific products using the approved supplier list.
• Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping, feature trade-off analysis, joint design development, and simulation of mechanical and electronics designs.
• Develop and consolidate manufacturing BOMs with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp up production.
• Manage CAPEX during NPI and conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.
• Complete BOM risk assessments, including alternate component sourcing.
• Ensure component qualifications are completed before production.
• Reduce complexity through commonality optimization and component/supplier rationalization.
• Lead cost engineering activities to minimize total cost of ownership (TCO) across the product lifecycle.
• Manage ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and cost inflation.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
• Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work.
• Ability to travel 10%-40% of the time and potentially relocate to Costa Mesa, CA.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in mechanical engineering, deeper experience in design and development of electronics/mechanical devices, advanced sourcing activities, and supplier development.
