Senior Transport Planner

We are seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join our Operations team in Wednesbury. As a Senior Transport Planner, you will effectively manage the day-to-day organisation of operations of the Depot through the allocation and basic routing of vehicles to ensure best-in-class service delivery to customers.

Your core responsibilities:

• Champion our 'Safety First' culture
• Manage the day-to-day planning of the Northern Tanker fleet
• Ensure compliance with DVLA/EU Drivers Hours Regs/working time directive legislation
• Achieve BIFFA compliance KPIs on a period-by-period basis
• Conduct performance management/disciplinary processes as needed
• Respond to customer enquiries in a timely manner
• Monitor vehicle availability, maintenance schedules, and breakdowns
• Seek continuous improvement to maintain operational excellence

The ideal candidate will have:

• Transport industry knowledge
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers hours and working time directive
• Experience managing a diverse fleet
