Description

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Field Application Engineer with expertise in datacenter system and network design for AI computing. As a Field Applications Engineer, you will provide onsite technical engagement for large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI computing systems, working closely with internal teams and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide onsite support for large datacenter deployments of NVIDIA AI solutions.
  • Solve complex hardware and deployment issues.
  • Serve as a technical specialist on GPU and networking products, supporting sales account managers.
  • Establish technical relationships with customer engineers, management, and architects.
  • Identify customer architectures and key product requirements in the enterprise AI market.
  • Provide technical and sales training to the direct sales team and channel partners.
  • Establish positive relationships and communication channels with internal teams.
  • Up to 30% travel may be required.

Requirements:

  • BS or MS in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of work-related experience in the high-tech electronics industry in a system design role or technical customer support role.
  • In-depth knowledge of servers, storage systems, network devices, and other data center hardware.
  • Ability to work in a constantly evolving environment without losing focus.
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time-management and organization skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with large-scale rollouts of datacenter equipment.
  • Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, RDMA, RoCE, NICs, Switches, etc.).
  • Embedded Linux System, APIs, and similar embedded OS knowledge.
  • Experience working with OEMs in the industrial, military, and ruggedized computing space.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and cooling systems for thermal management, power distribution, cabling, and rack layout as well as CPU Architecture knowledge.
