Description
As a Software Development Sr Supervisor – RF/Communications (STK) at Synopsys, you will lead a capability development team responsible for RF communications and radar modeling features in STK. Your responsibilities will include providing direct personnel supervision, managing hiring needs, and fostering individual and team growth. You will also own the release cycle for your team's deliverables, ensuring timely, high-quality releases with agreed feature sets.
You will work closely with Product Management and Technical Leads to define and implement product roadmaps. Collaboration with Quality Assurance and Documentation teams is required to meet quality standards and ensure clear, effective documentation. You will enforce software development best practices, including coding standards, peer reviews, branching strategies, and unit testing.
This position requires compliance with U.S. government security and/or access requirements. As a result, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this position.
Key qualifications include a BS in Engineering, Science, or Computer Science with at least 8 years of experience, or an MS with 6 years, or a PhD with 4 years. Demonstrated leadership experience managing software development teams is essential. Strong communication skills, including coaching, giving feedback, and collaborating across functions, are also required. Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and best practices is necessary, as well as technical expertise in RF communications technology, radar, or sensor operations.
