Description
This position provides support for the Feature & Option Program Direction Letter (PDL) process and tools to all North American Program teams, with some global responsibilities. The successful candidate will manage and control the document that feeds the ordering and manufacturing systems, ensuring that Ford can build vehicles without the PDL.
Key responsibilities include:
Direct Author initial PDLs for Major/New NA Programs Train PDL authors how to use Product Definition & Offer (PDO) to directly author PDLs Manage program naming creation process globally Provide Emergency PDL authoring support for Program teams Interface with MP&L codification team to resolve systemic issues and drive process consistency Support Market Strategy Report (MSR) process and tool
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with expert-level experience with PDL codification in the PDO tool. They will also have excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
As a Product Definition Specialist, you will have the opportunity to contribute to Program Management and lead in authorship of the Program PDL. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the PDL process is efficient and effective, and that the document is accurate and up-to-date.
This is a salary grade 6 to 8 position, with a salary range of $72,480 to $162,120. The final determination of salary grade will be based on the candidate's skills and experience.
