Recycling Centre Operative

We are seeking a Recycling Centre Operative to join our team in South Kirkby. As a Recycling Centre Operative, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality customer service to site users while ensuring a high level of health and safety compliance.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Providing excellent customer service to members of the public, assisting and advising them on how to use the site effectively and safely
• Ensuring segregation of different waste streams into appropriate containers to maximise the recovery of materials
• Separating and storing hazardous waste appropriately
• Maintaining a high level of housekeeping and ensuring the site is clean and tidy at all times
• Keeping all equipment clean and maintained to ensure a safe working environment
• Controlling traffic flows to ensure safe operation
• Identifying and reporting any defects on site
• Following all risk assessments and safe operating procedures
• Reporting all non-compliances and breaches of site rules
