Description
We are seeking a Guest Services Associate to provide exceptional service to our guests on board.
As a Guest Services Associate, you will be responsible for handling guest requests, concerns, and issues in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to guest requests, concerns, and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide premium guest service by handling all communications, verbal or written, in accordance with set standards and in coordination with the Front Desk Supervisor.
- Log and maintain accurate records of guest inquiries, concerns, and requests using systems provided and in accordance with set procedures.
- Perform tasks related to phone duty, including answering general enquiries, handling In-Room Dining calls and orders, and fulfilling responsibilities of a telephone concierge.
- Handle cash transactions required by guests, including traveler checks, stamps, foreign exchange, and gratuity adjustments.
- Maintain accurate work order files and adhere to company standards.
- Acquire in-depth knowledge of the Mariner Loyalty Program to assist guests with related inquiries.
- Promote various services and programs to generate revenue.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with coworkers, supervisors, managers, and officers.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a front office operation or hospitality environment.
- Marlins Score 90 or above and a valid STCW certificate.
- Ability to work well with shipboard and corporate personnel, being open-minded, flexible, and able to handle changing priorities.
- Working knowledge of computers and software programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

- Must be able to work varied shifts, including night shifts, and be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures.
- Must be able to maintain qualification of the Seafarer Medical Examination and pass the basic safety course.
- Passport valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond a working assignment.
- Seafarer Medical Examination to declare fit for duty onboard ships.
