As a Senior Human Resources Business Partner, Corporate and Institutional Banking, you will be responsible for shaping and delivering the people strategy aligned to business priorities for the full US CIB portfolio and informing the wider CIB & HCIB People agenda.

The role provides strategic leadership, risk stewardship, and organisational development, ensuring the workforce is agile, future-ready, and capable of navigating geopolitical, technological, and economic shifts with innovative people solutions and strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning and executing the CIB People Plan aligned to business strategy and People Governance & Communication priorities
  • Leading and collaborating with partners across CIB to design and execute people plans aligned to business strategy
  • Providing strategic partnership and counsel to CIB senior leaders to drive a highly engaged and optimised workforce
  • Driving a high-performance culture focused on customer centricity and clear accountability
  • Embedding Talent Management across CIB, including succession planning and targeted interventions to retain and develop top talent
  • Driving team effectiveness and leadership development for senior leadership teams
  • Leading strategic people initiatives and change programmes
  • Driving workforce productivity by partnering on the development and activation of the Future State Workforce
  • Acting as an active, collaborative member of the US CIB People LT and wider people community

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working within banking environments with a strong understanding of operating models, client dynamics, and the regulatory environment
  • Strong capability in organisational design, workforce planning, talent strategy, and change management
  • A track record of delivering people outcomes in complex, regulated, and matrixed global organisations
  • Expertise aligning people priorities with commercial, operational, and risk agendas
  • Skilled in coaching and developing senior leaders to enhance performance, decision making, and team effectiveness
