About the Role
As a Member of Technical Staff - Copilot AI Companion Engineering Manager, you will lead building high-performing, emotional, delightful character experience in Copilot. You'll work in a deeply iterative, collaborative, fast-paced environment to bring our technology to millions of users around the world. You will lead a team of talented software engineers to deliver world-class AI companion experiences that are secure, reliable, and scalable, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Research.
Accountabilities
- Hire, manage, and lead a team of software engineers responsible for delivering high-performing, emotional, delightful AI character experiences
- Ship AI powered experiences that will shape how millions of people will interact with AI in the future
The Candidate we're looking for
Experience:
- 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
Technical skills:
- Proficiency in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
Personal attributes:
- Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are comfortable making progress in ambiguity

- Software Engineering M5 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 – $274,800 per year
- Software Engineering M6 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 – $296,400 per year
