Description
Cloudflare is seeking a Public Policy Intern to support its European Public Policy team in Brussels for six months, starting September 7, 2026.
The Public Policy team helps the company anticipate regulatory challenges, acts as an external advocate on priority policy issues, and identifies opportunities to build relationships with external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Help maintain internal knowledge databases and draft EU stakeholder maps
- Support evaluation of EU policy and legislative developments and their impact on Cloudflare
- Participate in developing talking points, policy narratives, and presentation materials
- Compile materials for sales and marketing teams to respond to policy-related questions
- Support building and maintaining relationships with key policymakers and officials
- Provide updates to colleagues from the Public Policy, Legal, Trust & Safety Teams, and other internal stakeholders
Desirable skills and experience:
- Academic background in cybersecurity, AI, connectivity/telecoms, content policy, or privacy issues
- Previous work or internship experience within a technology company, trade association, or EU institution
- Perfect command of English (written and oral)
- Strong technical aptitude and curiosity to develop, leverage, and automate internal AI tools
Compensation:
- Estimated annual salary starts at €33,000 for Belgium-based hires
- Eligible to participate in Cloudflare's equity plan
