Set a course for adventure with Princess Cruises, the employer of choice in the cruise industry. We're looking for a Demi Chef de Partie Pastry to join our team in Beijing.
As a Demi Chef de Partie Pastry, you will be responsible for executing production in the Pastry area and stations according to company recipes and presentation, as directed by the Executive Pastry & Bakery Chef or Chef de Partie Pastry. You will also ensure that assigned section recipe files are maintained and available to assigned staff.
You will practice batch cooking and preparation (for soufflés, puddings, crème brûlée, and other pastry items) and demonstrate an ongoing understanding of the ingredient consumption required for daily production in accordance with company recipes.
You will supervise and mentor Commis Pastry in an assigned service station during operational activities and assist in on-the-job training for new hire Pastry staff as directed by the Executive Pastry & Bakery Chef or Chef De Partie Pastry.
The Demi Chef de Partie Pastry is always open to guidance from the Executive Pastry & Bakery Chef or Chef de Partie Pastry, with the aim of ensuring that production is executed according to company standards and recipes, and that food waste is kept to a minimum.
The Demi Chef de Partie Pastry also maintains a current and accurate knowledge of public health standards, and ensures continuous compliance with all hotel-related public health and food management policies and procedures.
This position involves regular physical activity, including standing for extended periods and lifting or moving heavy items in line with operational requirements.
