Technical Consultant for Intelligent Energy Systems

We are seeking a technical consultant to join our team at Intelligent Energy System Services (IE2S). As a technical consultant, you will provide expert advice on topics such as Dynamic Security Assessment (DSA), CGMES, CIM, and grid modelling.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical consulting on DSA, CGMES, CIM, grid model preparation, and robust grid models
• Collaborate with grid operators to assess measurement variables
• Develop and implement process consulting for grid model preparation and DSA processes
• Conduct requirement analysis and structuring in the areas of DSA, grid modelling, and energy industry processes
• Manage testing, conduct tests, and evaluate technical requirements and process adaptations
• Prepare complex technical content for presentations to specialist departments and management

Requirements:

• Completed degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable field
• Ideally, first professional experience in the energy industry, particularly in the environment of grid operators
• Sound knowledge of grid modelling and simulation as well as electrical energy systems
• Good understanding of technical, IT, and programming connections
• Experience with VNB/ÜNB, knowledge of operational planning and grid management processes, and/or experience in the KRITIS environment is desirable
• Interest in trends in the energy industry and new technologies
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking
• Structured, professional, and customer-oriented working style
• Team ability and strong communication skills
• Openness and motivation for active idea development and entrepreneurial co-creation
• Very good German and English language skills
