Description
We are seeking a Logistic Business Development professional to join our team at Ford. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for driving strategic growth in Ford Logistics by developing new business opportunities in logistics and trading. Your primary focus will be on identifying and capturing new clients and suppliers, both within and outside the Ford ecosystem. You will also be responsible for developing new trading services, including analysing opportunities for importing materials and commodities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying and capturing new clients and suppliers
- Developing new trading services
- Investigating markets, costs, and macroeconomic trends
- Negotiating contracts and commercial conditions with freight forwarders and logistics providers
- Acting as a point of escalation for critical situations or deviations from the business
- Working across teams to provide a commercial and strategic perspective on the business
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
- Advanced English language skills
- More than 4 years of experience in freight forwarding, trading, and/or international logistics
- Solid knowledge of the maritime and air freight markets
- Experience in contract management and negotiation with logistics service providers
- Analytical skills, business acumen, and results-oriented approach
- Knowledge of commodities
- Experience with Power BI and dashboards (desirable)
