This includes concrete foundations, structural pours, underground electrical conduits/piping, turbine and generator supports, process equipment foundations, cooling systems, and related utilities.
As a Construction Supervisor, you will manage and schedule contractors, subcontractors, and on-site night shift crews to deliver project milestones for xAI's power plant on time and to xAI's stringent quality and safety standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing concrete pouring, forming, finishing, and underground utility installations to meet the exacting specifications of a large-scale power generation facility.
- Managing and scheduling contractors, subcontractors, and on-site night shift crews to deliver project milestones for xAI's power plant on time and to xAI's stringent quality and safety standards.
- Ensuring all contractors adhere to scope, delivering high-integrity concrete structures, underground electrical and utility systems, and equipment foundations critical to power generation, transmission support, and auxiliary systems.
- Monitoring daily (night) progress of power plant construction, maintaining detailed logs, plot plans, and as-built documentation for foundations, piping/conduit networks, structural supports, and related infrastructure.
- Developing and enforcing aggressive construction schedules while helping keep the multi-million-dollar power project on time and within budget in a high-velocity environment.
- Championing and enforcing xAI's safety program, building a zero-incident culture across employees, contractors, and subcontractors working around heavy process equipment, excavations, high-voltage areas, and industrial power systems during night operations.
- Leading, training, and supervising foremen and crews on the night shift, fostering teamwork, accountability, and effective communication in a high-stakes industrial power project.
- Proactively resolving on-site challenges , material delays, technical conflicts in underground electrical/process systems, sequencing issues, or night-shift coordination , with a focus on power plant reliability and uptime.
- Conducting regular site inspections to verify compliance with local regulations, environmental permits, safety protocols (especially for night work and heavy equipment), and xAI's quality standards for power infrastructure.
- Preparing and presenting clear progress reports, construction metrics, and risk updates to senior leadership, highlighting night-shift accomplishments and any handover items.
