Description
NVIDIA is seeking a Solutions Architect in Data Center Infrastructure to join the Infrastructure Specialists (NVIS) team. The role involves leading the infrastructure planning, physical deployment, and hardware remediation of data centers.
The NVIS Solutions Architect for Datacenter Infrastructure will focus on data center audit, planning, and deployment to ensure the integrity of NVIDIA's platform infrastructure. The goal is to guarantee that all aspects of the data center's physical infrastructure are meticulously planned, implemented, and validated to meet NVIDIA's reference architectures, operational requirements, and industry standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teams to plan and implement data center infrastructure solutions based on NVIDIA's datacenter reference architecture.
- Plan and manage the deployment of NVIDIA's AI infrastructure, including highly complex rack-scale, liquid-cooled compute and networking systems.
- Review cluster and data center architecture, plan network port mapping and fiber-optic cabling BOM, identify risks, and train vendors.
- Evaluate customer and partner infrastructure design proposals for consistency with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead physical troubleshooting, cabling debug, mis-wire correction, power and leak issues, and drive clusters from initial bring-up to full operational acceptance.
- Oversee smarthands, integration, cabling, and OEM partners, managing dispatches, validating work quality, enforcing SLAs, and holding partners accountable.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and validation of compute systems.
- Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to verify that deployments meet established specifications and performance benchmarks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data center infrastructure efficiency, resilience, and sustainability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of overall experience in enterprise and/or hyperscale data centers with continual infrastructure deployment experience.
- Working experience in data center operations or infrastructure management roles, focusing on large-scale data center deployments.
- Hands-on experience with hardware break/fix and RMA workflows, and spares/logistics coordination across multiple sites.
- Experience building processes and playbooks from scratch, and comfort operating with minimal supervision in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
Preferred qualifications:
- Linux system administration skills
- Hands-on liquid-cooling product deployment experience
- Familiarity with ICT/shuffle-box configurations and new-generation cabling
- Strong knowledge of the whole data center Infrastructure stack
- Relevant certification
