Description
You'll join the Financial Engineering (FinE) alliance, where we build and run the systems that power Spotify's global financial operations. As a Financial Systems Operations Manager, you'll lead a team of Financial Systems Analysts, fostering a high-performance culture focused on service excellence, quality, impact, and growth. Your primary responsibility will be to own the operational health of Spotify's financial and legal SaaS suite, including NetSuite, Coupa, Concur, Blackline, and Graphite Connect, ensuring consistent, reliable support for our stakeholders. You'll also manage and continuously improve the team's operations and impact, overseeing Jira queue management, triage frameworks, SLA performance, and escalation pathways. Additionally, you'll define and track team KPIs and operational metrics, using data to drive resourcing decisions, prioritization, and ongoing process improvements. You'll partner with Finance, Procurement, Accounting, Audit, Legal, and Engineering stakeholders to understand evolving system and regulatory requirements and translate them into operational plans. You'll drive a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for process optimization, automation, and self-service to scale our systems as Spotify grows. This includes leveraging opportunities to automate processes using the latest automation/AI tooling. You'll manage using an impact-first approach to sharpen the team's focus and connect the team's work to work that aligns with company priorities, valuing outcomes over activity.
We're looking for someone with 6+ years of experience in financial systems administration or operations, with deep expertise across ERP and financial SaaS platforms. Direct experience with NetSuite, Coupa, Concur, or Blackline is strongly preferred. You should have 2+ years of experience managing a team, with a demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and retain analysts across different levels of seniority. You'll be a natural coach and mentor, taking genuine pride in growing the people around you and creating the conditions for your team to do their best work. You'll have a strong operational mindset, being comfortable owning a queue-driven support environment, setting standards for quality and throughput, and improving the systems and processes your team relies on. You'll have strong functional knowledge of financial processes, including Procure-to-Pay (PTP), Record-to-Report (RTR), and Order-to-Cash (OTC) in a multi-subsidiary, multi-currency enterprise environment. You'll have working knowledge of SOX frameworks and IT General Controls, particularly as they relate to ERP and SaaS system change management. You'll have demonstrated the ability to build and maintain effective cross-functional relationships with both technical partners and senior business stakeholders. You'll be comfortable with ambiguity and can translate high-level goals into practical team priorities and delivery plans. You'll communicate with clarity and transparency, ensuring your team, stakeholders, and peers always know where things stand. You'll have experience working with Agile methodologies and be comfortable using tools such as Jira for operational tracking. Bonus: familiarity with leveraging Generative AI in your day-to-day role. Bonus: accounting qualification (CPA or equivalent) or significant accounting experience.
