Our Team

Since the 2026 season, Audi has been competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The new team has three locations. The Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Formula 1 factory of Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Audi Motorsport Technology Center in UK is in its launch phase and growing continuously. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations.

Our internships as well as thesis projects last at least four months, are full-time, and we offer fair compensation.

This position is scheduled to start from September 2026.

Job Description

In the IT department at Audi Formula Racing GmbH, you will work on the design and development of key IT solutions for all areas of a company. In doing so, we are shaping the future IT landscape and supporting the digital transformation in motorsports. Our focus is on innovative and long-term IT solutions for the future-oriented developments in motorsports.

Your Mission

  • In the IT department at Audi Formula Racing GmbH, you will work on the design and development of key IT solutions for all areas of a company.
  • Your tasks will include programming expansions of our track database software and converting/enriching data records in various formats.
  • You will also consolidate information from different database systems and develop web interfaces for control and visualization.

Your Profile

  • You are pursuing a degree in computer science, business informatics, or other degrees with in-depth knowledge relevant to the task description
  • Some experience in software development
  • Good specialist knowledge of Python; knowledge of C# is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL
  • Knowledge of the distributed version control system Git
  • Experience with web development
  • You enjoy working in a team and have a distinct hands-on mentality
