Job Description:

We are seeking a Jr Waiter (Japanese Speaking) to join our team at PT Alpha Magsaysay, one of Princess Cruises' official hiring partners in Indonesia.

As a Jr Waiter, you will assist the Waiter in creating a comfortable and elegant ambiance by preparing table settings and maintaining service stations according to company standards. You will also assist in delivering food and beverages as requested, on time, in the correct service order, and follow up to ensure each guest's needs have been met.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Waiter in creating a comfortable and elegant ambiance by preparing table settings and maintaining service stations in line with all Company standards.
• Assist the Waiter in delivering food and beverages as requested, on time, in the correct service order, follows up to ensure each guest's needs have been met and suggests solutions to any issues.
• Provide a positive first impression to every guest through a warm, welcoming individual greeting; always maintains a clean and professional appearance.
• Nurtures a lasting connection with every guest by always showing genuine interest during service and remaining fully engaged throughout the voyage.
• Always observes and identifies guest preferences and adjusts service accordingly, anticipating guest's needs and offering appropriate responses without the guest having to ask.
• Always follows all Company guidelines, policies, and procedures, including USPH protocols.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a recognized Catering / Hotel Management School preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of restaurant service experience from four-star hotel or cruise ship.
• Knowledge of food, beverage and wine menus used throughout the fleet.
• Able to adequately explain pricing, food, wine, and cocktail menus to guests.
• Ability to work under pressure, in both Front and Back of House areas.
• Necessary computer skills and knowledge of P.O.S. systems.
• Command of the English language, both verbal and written.
• Command of the Japanese language, both verbal and written.
