Stock Controller

We are seeking a stock controller to oversee inventory levels, stock takes, stock ordering and storage, and ensure smooth supply chain operations to meet business and customer demands.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Track stock levels, perform cyclic stock checks, and conduct planned stock takes to ensure accuracy and prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Assist with placing purchase orders, receive shipments, and coordinate internal stock transfers to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Supervise storeroom arrangements, ensure proper tagging, labelling, and storage of products for efficient access and distribution.
• Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and production teams to forecast supply and demand, minimize stock losses, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Maintain communication with suppliers and clients, negotiate prices, and resolve discrepancies to support procurement and stock continuity.
• Manage electronic ordering systems, POS systems, and perform process testing to maintain data integrity and operational efficiency.
• Prepare purchase and pricing reports, analyse supply chain data, and develop strategies to reduce obsolete stock and optimise inventory.

Skills and Qualifications

• Prior experience in inventory management, supply chain, or related industries is preferred with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
• A can-do approach, positive attitude, and ability to identify alternative solutions to problems.
• Familiarity with inventory management software, electronic ordering systems, and POS systems.
• Strong communication skills, with proven experience interacting with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
• Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in stock records and identifying discrepancies.
