Senior Engineer Connectivity & Software-Defined Networking

As a Senior Engineer Connectivity & Software-Defined Networking, you will work on the conception, implementation, and further development of modern software-defined network and connectivity solutions in the context of Software-Defined Vehicle, Connected Systems, and cloud- and edge-based platforms.

Your tasks will include:

• Designing, evaluating, and implementing software-defined network and connectivity architectures with a focus on control-plane/data-plane separation and end-to-end controllability
• Developing and implementing SDN/NFV concepts, including network slicing, policy, and service orchestration, as well as QoS mechanisms
• Automating and integrating network and connectivity functions over APIs and infrastructure-as-code approaches
• Building and developing cloud- and edge-based network solutions using containers and orchestration
• Designing scalable and resilient end-to-end connectivity between vehicle, network, edge, and cloud
• Conceiving secure network and communication architectures, including identity, certificate, and policy management

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A degree in Computer Science, Communications Engineering, or a related technical field, and at least 2 years of professional experience
• Passion for modern connectivity technologies, software-defined networking, and the technological development of software-defined vehicles along scalable, secure end-to-end architectures
• Expertise in classical network fundamentals, as well as SDN/NFV, network automation, APIs, and cloud- and edge-based network solutions
• Experience with container platforms and secure network and communication architectures
• Familiarity with the automotive/SDV domain, mobile phone or core network concepts, observability, or relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE or VCP-NV
• A structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style, and the ability to communicate clearly in a team and client-oriented environment
