Technical Tax Support Specialist

As a Technical Tax Support Specialist at Gusto, you'll join a specialised role on the Tax Operations team, helping prevent customer pain and improve influence with payroll tax agencies.

Your role will involve supporting tax agencies and customers via phone and email, strengthening cross-functional relationships, and providing support to multiple teams across Customer Experience.

Key responsibilities include:

• Receiving, responding to, and resolving calls and emails from tax agencies regarding customer tax filing and payment issues
• Working with Gusto customers on specific tax issues requiring deep tax operations and agency knowledge
• Collaborating cross-functionally with teams across Customer Experience, such as TaxRes, Customer Care, Tax Filing Compliance, and Compliance Operations
• Tracking questions and issues raised by tax agencies and customers to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements
• Leveraging AI platforms to streamline communication, automate processes, and enablement

Requirements include:

• 1-2 years of experience servicing tax agencies and/or customers relating to payroll-related tax inquiries
• Customer-obsessed focus and delivering high-quality support

The cash compensation range for this role is $23.51/hr to $27.43/hr in Denver, CO.
