You will work on a master thesis project to design and validate cable protection functions for electronic fuses in modern automotive electrical systems.
The project involves researching the current state of technology and common eFuse implementations, developing a concept to characterize the current-time behavior of eFuse components, and setting up a testbench to validate the results.
Your tasks will include:
- Conducting literature research on the current state of technology
- Investigating suitable testing and simulation methods
- Theoretically examining and designing cable protection functions
- Developing and setting up a testbench to characterize semiconductor components
- Collecting and evaluating measurement data from the testbench or vehicle
- Documenting the results scientifically
Requirements:
- Study program in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology or Mechatronics
- Focus on vehicle technology, e-mobility, power electronics, or semiconductor technology
- Basic knowledge of semiconductor technology, vehicle electrical systems, and hardware and software development
- IT skills in Python, MS Office, MATLAB/SIMULINK, LTSpice/Schaltungssimulation, Altium/KiCad PCB-Design, and LaTeX
- Language skills in German and English
- Self-motivated and structured approach, team and communication skills
