Description

We are seeking a Senior Systems Security Engineer to lead a mission-focused, threat-informed approach to Program Protection Engineering for the next generation of Anduril's autonomous systems. You will integrate holistic Systems Security Engineering processes to prevent, mitigate, and recover from cyberattacks employing advanced adversary Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).

Key responsibilities include championing system security architecture development and requirements derivation, decomposition, and flow down for Anduril products with varying levels of system design maturity. You will design system and solution features with engineering teams to meet and exceed industry-standard security goals.

As a Senior Systems Security Engineer, you will consult on software, RF and electrical engineering architectures, features, and implementations. You will identify and prioritise mission-based cyber risks, translating complex threat landscapes into actionable engineering decisions.

You will develop, document, orchestrate, and execute system security tests, demonstrations, evaluations, and assessments (including support for customer-led events). You will develop, guide, and monitor technical documentation to capture trade studies, system designs, analyses, and results related to a system's security posture.

You will support technical work products developed by the larger engineering team and support major milestone deliveries (e.g. SRR, SVR, PDR, CDR, TRR, PRR).

To be successful in this role, you will need experience in one or more of the following fields: Systems Security Engineering, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science.

You will need a proven track record of excelling across the broader Systems Security Engineering domain, encompassing embedded Program Protection Implementation Plans, Software Security, and Anti-Tamper Engineering. You will also need direct experience executing the Anti-Tamper process and authoring associated documentation.

You will require experience with Cybersecurity, Software Assurance, and Supply Chain Risk Management to support program protection implementation on embedded weapon systems. You will also need experience with Systems Security Engineering, reverse engineering, or embedded security on DoD programs.

You will have a strong understanding of the 'why' behind the product, systems, and security design. You will be able to effectively brief and interact regularly with a technically oriented government customer.

You will have a sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture. You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and currently hold an active U.S. Secret security clearance with SAP eligibility.

Preferred qualifications include experience with FPGA security, micro-electronics security validation, and hardware-based security solutions, as well as implementation experience with security architectures for autonomous platforms, unmanned systems, embedded weapon systems, secure communications, or intelligence collection platforms.

You will also have expertise with TEMPEST requirements and Anti-Tamper methodologies for protecting critical intellectual property, as well as experience developing cryptographic solutions, including key management systems (HSM integration, PKI, over-the-air key distribution, COMSEC/TRANSEC, key lifecycle management).

You will have experience with embedded security architectures (Commercial Secure Boot, FPGA bitstream protection, root-of-trust implementations, secure processing elements), and system design documentation in No Magic CAMEO, security testing on DoD systems, and various operating systems, including embedded Linux.
