Description
Elastic is seeking a Senior Account Executive to expand its footprint within the Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). This role will focus on driving adoption of Elastic's cutting-edge search, observability, and security solutions to support mission-critical operations.
The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in Canadian defence operations, an understanding of Canadian defence procurement processes, and a passion for solving complex challenges with innovative technology.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving Elastic's sales strategy for DND and CAF, delivering tailored solutions for operational and cybersecurity needs.
- Cultivating relationships with defence and government leaders, identifying opportunities to support mission success with Elastic's products.
- Collaborating with government stakeholders and Canadian system integrators to design and implement Elastic solutions for joint and multi-domain operations.
- Partnering with internal teams to craft compelling proposals and ensure alignment with Canadian federal procurement requirements, including PSPC and DISO frameworks.
- Staying current on evolving DND mission priorities, defence funding trends, and technological advancements including those tied to the Defence Policy Update.
- Representing Elastic at Canadian defence industry events, briefings, and conferences to showcase capabilities and build partnerships.
The successful candidate will bring:
- A deep understanding of DND and CAF missions, command structures, and operational requirements.
- Proven success in defence sales, business development, or program management within the Canadian public sector.
- Familiarity with Security Operations Centres (SOCs), AI/ML, data analytics, and cybersecurity frameworks including ITSG-33 and Protected B/C standards.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions into mission value.
- Experience navigating Canadian federal procurement processes and contracting vehicles (e.g., TBIPS, ProServices, SOSA).
- A Canadian Secret or Top Secret clearance.
Bonus points for military experience or prior collaboration with DND/CAF or Canadian defence agencies (e.g., CSE, CANSOFCOM), expertise in operational planning, cybersecurity, or data analytics within Canadian defence environments, or bilingualism (English/French).
