R&D Test & Service Technician

TGR Haas F1 Team, a prominent competitor in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, is seeking a skilled R&D Test & Service Technician to join their team in Banbury, Oxfordshire.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of departmental and organisational objectives, ensuring high standards of service, compliance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct component testing for performance, reliability, and proof testing, including non-destructive testing of the team's race car and pit equipment
• Assist in the service and test process, adhering to strict deadlines
• Collaborate with the R&D Lead Team Leader, reporting any issues and finding solutions in a timely manner
• Perform non-destructive tests, inspections, and follow test procedures for service and proof testing of on-car and off-car components
• Operate R&D test equipment, loggers, and sensors, as well as load frame test equipment and procedures
• Document and publish reports on test results and fault finding
• Implement research and development tests as required
• Maintain the cleanliness and condition of the work department, tools, and equipment

Requirements:

• GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent required; further education, including Trade School, Apprenticeship, or University Degree desired
• 5 years of experience in a similar role or motorsport environment (preferably Formula 1)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of component tracking, report writing, and technical drawings
• Experience with MTS Software, Controller knowledge, and Servo Test Controller knowledge
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle confidential information, and maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct
