LPN Atrium Health One Health Family Medicine Birkdale FT

We are seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Atrium Health One Health Family Medicine Birkdale in Huntersville, North Carolina.

As an LPN, you will provide patient-centered nursing care in an outpatient clinic according to established scope of practice guidelines and standards of care. Your major responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and rooming patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and documenting/updating pertinent health information
• Performing laboratory procedures using principles of aseptic technique and standard precautions/infection control guidelines
• Assisting physicians/providers with procedures and surgeries
• Administering medications under physician/provider orders
• Providing basic patient education on tasks, skills, treatment, and self-care
• Communicating with physicians and other members of the healthcare team
• Documenting and communicating accurate and timely information regarding patient conditions
• Performing advanced clinical tasks or skills with demonstrated competency and under clinical supervision
• Organizing and preparing exam rooms, lab, and work areas
• Participating in patient-centered initiatives, care management, performance, and quality improvement activities

Requirements:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing
• Excellent communication, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, navigation within a Windows operating system, and use of electronic mail with exposure to electronic medical records systems

Salary Range: $24.10 - $36.15 per hour
