Description
Join us at Electronic Arts in Birmingham as a Senior Technical Artist focused on shaders, materials, and real-time rendering. Reporting to the Technical Art Director, you will develop shaders and rendering workflows that improve the visual quality of the official F1 games. Working across Art and Engineering, you will contribute to our proprietary technology and help create high-quality game content. This is a hybrid remote/in-office role based in our Birmingham, UK studio.
You will be the bridge between art and engineering, with a focus on materials, shaders, and rendering workflows. Develop high-quality HLSL shaders for our proprietary engine and DCC tools, including our HLSL-based 3ds Max viewport pipeline. Guide look development and improve visual fidelity across characters, environments, and vehicles while optimizing rendering performance to meet platform and project requirements. Support artists in creating and optimizing assets by debugging rendering issues, improving material setups, and ensuring consistency between rendering environments. Work with rendering engineers and artists to prototype and integrate new visual features.
We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare coverage, mental well-being support, retirement savings, paid time off, family leaves, complimentary games, and more.
