Driver

Working as a member of the PRM Airside Driver Team at Glasgow Airport, you will drive specialist vehicles to transfer passengers with reduced mobility (PRM's) from the aircraft to the terminal building or vice versa. The vehicles range from minibuses to Class 2 rigid heavy goods type vehicles, for which full training and instruction will be given. You will also assist PRM's onto the aircraft, to their seat or into the ABM vehicles or terminal buildings, using passenger and manual handling techniques.

Key responsibilities:

• Complete daily vehicle checks to maintain operational reliability
• Drive company vehicles safely and securely
• Operate vehicles within close proximity to aircraft using all safety systems
• Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle
• Deliver or collect passengers at the aircraft door and assist with transfers
• Complete Customer Care Agent (CCA) duties within the terminal when required
• Update the Allocator on progress using PDAs and radios
• Observe Manchester airport airside driving requirements
• Promote a safe and secure environment

The role requires:

• A valid right to work in the UK
• A 5-year checkable employment/education history
• A basic DBS check
• An overseas Criminal Record Check (if applicable)
• Availability for early morning shifts and weekends
• A full clean UK driving license
• The ability to obtain an airside pass
