Description
Electronic Arts is seeking a Lighting Artist to join their team in Montreal to work on an exciting Iron Man project.
As a Lighting Artist at Motive, you will play a crucial role in creating the look and feel of their games. You will work with the Lead Lighter and Art Directors to establish the right moods and image quality.
Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality lighting for in-game cinematics, considering platform constraints
- Set up image effects processes such as bloom, lens flares, vignetting, and color grading
- Manage technical requirements for lighting and performance
- Collaborate with Art Directors and other disciplines to achieve a polished result
- Seek feedback and work autonomously
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Lighting Artist in the video games industry or relevant real-time industry experience
- Experience with character lighting and cinematic lighting
- Unreal 5 experience is a plus
- Strong artistic eye and ability to interpret reference and concept art
- Good understanding of lighting fundamentals, color theory, materials, cinematography, and photography
- Ability to focus the viewer's eye and evoke emotions through lighting and color
- Understanding of real-time rendering engines and performance constraints
