As a Senior Firmware PCIe Engineer, you will be a critical link between our peer team, QA, and application engineers and the PCIe FW design team. You will have a direct impact on our business and technology by solving sophisticated technical challenges and ensuring our customers can build the next generation of supercomputers and AI fabrics.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Investigating, debugging, and resolving challenging PCIe firmware issues for our most important customers, serving as their trusted technical expert. Partnering with our Chip Design, Software, and Architecture engineers to find root causes and develop robust, long-term solutions. Translating customer needs and field data into actionable feedback that directly shapes the future of our products. Helping improve our team's processes and contributing to our knowledge base, making everyone more effective.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience. 8+ years of significant professional experience in embedded firmware development, with a deep understanding of PCIe. A strong foundation in computer architecture, operating systems, and object-oriented programming. A proactive and curious approach with a passion for continuous learning and problem-solving. Clarity in explaining complex technical issues to both customers and engineering peers. Experience using scripting languages like Python or Bash to automate tasks.
If you have previous experience in a customer-facing or application engineering role, direct experience with PCIe switch architecture and firmware, deep knowledge of hardware verification concepts and tools (C++, Jenkins), or expertise in networking protocols and the Linux operating system, you will stand out from the crowd.
