The Role

As a Paralegal, Funds, you will join Carta Law, the largest AI-native law firm for private capital. You will work on preparing LP transfer documents, liaising with transfer parties, and assisting with execution workflows.

Responsibilities

• Prepare initial drafts of LP transfer documents (transfer agreements, consents, subscription agreements)
• Liaise with transfer parties on process and timings, and assist with execution workflows
• Work closely with lawyers and senior paralegals, contributing to high-quality client delivery across fast-moving, high-volume matters
• Build commercial and legal expertise over time, with opportunities to take ownership of client accounts and progress towards qualification via the SQE route

• Organised and efficient, with ability to prioritize well, manage competing deadlines, and keep matters moving without losing attention to detail
• Strong communicator, able to write and speak clearly and professionally
• Self-starter, able to take initiative, work independently when needed, and proactively flag issues before they become problems
• Team player, able to collaborate effectively with lawyers, senior paralegals, and client-facing teams
• Undergraduate Law degree or equivalent preferred; prior exposure to LP Transfer processes a plus but not required

Salary Range

The expected cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is:

• $72,485 - $90,640 in Seattle
• $64,855 - $81,099 in New Jersey
• $76,300 - $95,410 in New York
• $76,300 - $95,410 in San Francisco
