Senior ADAS/AD Systems Engineer

As a Senior ADAS/AD Systems Engineer at AVL Research & Engineering in Istanbul, TR, you will find creative engineering solutions and leverage strong domain knowledge to develop automated driving technologies from concept to production sign-off.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and defining functional and non-functional requirements of ADAS/AD features with performance KPIs for a safe and fascinating driving experience.
• Designing ADAS/AD features according to standards and legislations, reflecting your system and domain knowledge.
• Creating ADAS/AD system specifications and models.
• Designing, modelling, testing/simulating, documenting, and maintaining ADAS/AD scenarios.
• Collaborating with AVL Global experts to stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends.
• Participating in R&D activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A BSc. in Electronics, Controls, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Automotive engineering or a related field, with MSc. or PhD. degrees preferred.
• Strong understanding of ADAS/AD fundamentals and/or vehicle features.
• Experience in system engineering, ADAS/AD scenario-based development, ADAS/AD simulation, and AI-based applications.
• Familiarity with requirements management tools like Codebeamer, PTC Integrity, Polarion, DOORS, or simulation tools such as AVL Scenario Simulator, CarMaker.
• Knowledge of ADAS/AD relevant safety standards & regulations, Functional safety (ISO26262), and SOTIF (ISO21448).
• Programming experience in languages like Python, C# is a plus.
• Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English and German.
• Willingness to travel frequently and for long-term periods abroad.
